Kindergarten:
We have been working on reading rhythms, and learning how to describe the music we hear with music words (Forte, Piano, Presto, Largo). We have also been learning how to correctly play xylophones, and metallophones.
1st and 2nd Grade:
We are a little late in starting our time with Beethoven. The students were wrapped up in Mozart's The Magic Flute and we had to finish the story. They thoroughly enjoyed learning about opera and how it is just like a play but with only singing voices.
This month we will be focusing on Beethoven and what makes up a symphony.
